Jackie Chan’s highly-successful and equally entertaining POLICE STORY series is getting a revamp and it looks like its going to be more serious than slapstick! I love Jackie Chan and think he is one of the most talented stuntmen and physical comedy actors of his generation, but I sometimes wish he would kick ass and showcase his tremendous Martial Arts skills without all the jokes and goofing around. I contacted Ilko Davidov, one of the directors of CIMMFest (Chicago International Movies & Music Festival) happening April 12-15th in the Wicker Park and Logan Square neighborhoods of Chicago because I just recently reviewed a documentary of his (STORY OF ROCK ‘N’ ROLL COMICS) and he offered to send me some review screeners and links to preview the films and offer my critique of them at SHU-IZMZ.
